The Tagliatelle Jersey is a celebration of knitwear craftsmanship, developed between the Emelia D studio and a local knitting factory in Cape Town. Designed and hand-knitted by Emelia D founder and designer, Dorcas Mutombo, the piece reflects her specialisation in knitwear and her passion for preserving traditional making techniques.

Using vintage hand-knitting machines, Dorcas knitted each panel with the guidance of the master craftsman who first taught her how to knit in 2021 during her final year of fashion school. Returning years later to create this piece together made the process especially meaningful. Back in the studio, Dorcas individually topstitched every knitted strand before the final garment was assembled by the skilled women at the knitting factory.

The result is a jersey rich in texture, movement, and craftsmanship – bringing together generations of knowledge with a contemporary approach to knitwear.

Returns

Items may be returned within 7 days of receiving your order.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition, with all tags attached.
Sale items and custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or refund.
To request a return, please email info@emeliad.com with your order number and reason for the return.

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you and process your refund to the original payment method.

Refunds exclude the original shipping costs.
Please allow 5–10 working days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
