The Sapeur Shirt pays tribute to the collection that marked the beginning of Emelia D’s journey. Inspired by Dorcas Mutombo’s very first collection, itself influenced by the elegance and confidence of the La SAPE (Dandyism) movement, this piece revisits an early design through a more refined and contemporary lens.
Crafted from breathable cotton sateen, the shirt features two asymmetrical pockets with sculptural pleats across the back, adding movement, depth, and character to its timeless silhouette. Thoughtfully tailored and effortlessly versatile, it reflects the evolution of a designer who continues to honour her beginnings while looking towards the future.
Pants
Designed to complement the Sapeur Shirt, the Sapeur Pants bring together clean tailoring and thoughtful design in a silhouette that feels both timeless and contemporary. Crafted from breathable cotton sateen, they offer a soft feel with a structured finish, creating a refined balance between comfort and elegance.
The contrast side panels add depth and definition, while the tailored silhouette allows the craftsmanship to speak through subtle details rather than excess. Versatile and confidently understated, the Sapeur Pants are designed to be worn as part of the complete look or styled effortlessly with other wardrobe favourites.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your Emelia D pieces. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help.
Returns
- Items may be returned within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition, with all tags attached.
- Sale items and custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or refund.
- To request a return, please email info@emeliad.com with your order number and reason for the return.
Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you and process your refund to the original payment method.
- Refunds exclude the original shipping costs.
- Please allow 5–10 working days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
